If you don't now who Hank Williams is he pioneered and pretty much invented country music. At the peek of his career he was acknowledged as the greatest ever singer-song writer in American history. After his rise to fame in the 1940's his life was a train wreck, drugs, alcohol and a hair trigger temper had ended two marriages, lost the majority of his friends and he was untouchable in the music industry even though he was a musical genius no one wants to work with him. In 1952 he decided to get his act together and he booked gigs for New Years Eve and hires a local kid who doesn't even own a radio to drive him as we follow the "mysterious" last days of Hank Williams.
Taking on the role of the musical genius is Henry Thomas and is joined by Jesse James, Fred Dalton Thompson, Kaley Cuoco, Steven Tobolowsky and Ray McKinnon. Behind the camera directed is Henry Thomason.
The film looks really good, I don't really know much about Hank Williams but the trailer for the film has me hooked, i loved Walk the Line the biopic of the life of Johnny Cash who had some of the same issues to over come like Hank Williams so i hope it is going to be just as good or even better.
The film is released on the 22nd June so don't forget to check it out
