8 Songs, 8 Cities, 8 Studios, 1 Album!!
The album is due out next week and the show is just getting better and better, building up the anticipation to hear the rest of album.
Calling it a show isn't the right word its an education into music history and the journey of the band as they make the record.
Foo Fighters are by far on of my all time favourite bands and when i heard that this is what they were doing for there new album i was excited because i knew that what they were going to produce was going to be amazing and so far i haven't been disappointed.
The documentary follows the band as they record their new album in each of the different cities they stop at as well as seeing Dave Grohl interview different musicians, producers and people surrounding the music industry in that city. The show is fascinating not only to see the process the band goes through to record the album but also learning about the music scene in each of these amazing cities.
So far on the journey we have been to Chicago, Washington DC and my favourite Nashville. I don't know what it is about Nashville i love, but i just want to go there, visit all these places like the Blue Bird, The Grand Ole Opry,The Ryman and everything that makes up the musical history of Nashville.
I have seen a few of the documentaries that Dave Grohl has made and they have been brilliant with his knowledge and curiosity to find out more about music history makes an great watch. Sound City was great i feel like Sonic Highways is just an extension of that.
We follow Dave, Taylor, Nate, Chris, Pat and there crew as they go on this amazing adventure through American music history.
If you love the band, music or just curious about the show you won't be disappointed it is just brilliant!!
The Documentary is currently on BBC Iplayer in the UK and HBO in America.
The album is due out on the 10th November and Pre-Order on iTunes
