New Iron Man 3 Trailer

Its getting closer and closer to the new Iron Man film to be released, only 51 days to go!!!

Who else is excited, i am especially after the release of the new trailer, which looks awesome!!!

Tony Stark's private life is under attack this time around and is up against his most powerful enemy who will do what ever it takes to destroy him. The Mandarin played by Ben Kingsley is still a bit of a mystery as to where he came from and why he is set to destroy Tony's life, but what we do know is that he is part of a terrorist organization set out to destroy the world.  A lot of the story line is still under wraps but after the attempts to destroy his life Tony sets out to defeat his enemy with only himself to count on to find his way back and protect the ones closets he loves.

The trailer looks awesome with footage that hasn't been seen yet and scenes like his mansion getting blown up expanded to see the real damage makes me excited to see the film, especially with the multiple Suits and the fact that we see other people getting fitted out for suits, with the idea of creating an army. But also when we see Tony getting questioned by reporters about how he is going to fix things shows how they just expect him to solve everything. But leading Tony to discover the answer to the question "Does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?"

Robert Downey Jr is a brilliant actor and i am so glad he is back as Tony Stark with Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle and Jon Favreau reprising their roles and the additions to the cast with Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak and James Badge Dale completing the main cast. This time around though the director has changed with Jon Favreau stepping back to make way for Shane Black.

After the Avengers i was excited to see where the story was going to go and is it going to start the build up in the story to the next Avengers film. I am also hoping that we might get to see bits and pieces of the other cast  members from the Avengers making cameos, fingers crossed!!

With rumors of this being the last Iron Man circling (i hope its not) i have high hopes for this film being brilliant and I can not wait for it to be released on the 26th April!!!

Twilight Box Set

If your a twilight fan then you have probably had this on back order for months and counting down the days till it arrives. If your an even bigger fan, you have probably not only order Break Dawn part 2 but the whole box set with all 5 films in it.

I have to say, i am a fan of the series since the books were released ( i read all 4 in twice in 4 days), i just couldn't put them down and couldn't wait for the films.

In twilight we fell in love with Edward (Robert Pattinson) and his 'family' of vegetarian vampires and saw the love between Edward and Bella (Kristen Stewart) blossom even in the face of danger coming from James (Cam Gigandet) and his coven.

In New Moon, we all probably cried when Edward left Bella to try and protect her after a disastrous birthday party and saw her relationship with Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) develop, plus we got to see him shirt less ;P, I swear down when i was watching this in the cinema, a 40 year old women sat behind me went full on crazy when he took off his shirt it was bizarre  Not only did we have vampires, werewolves were thrown into the mix. We were all sat there pining away for Edward to come back and be with Bella, and we got our wish.

In Eclipse, we saw Bella struggle to chose between Edward and Jacob, (I was team Edward) and saw her relationship with Edward move to the next level when he asks her to marry him. It would have been perfect if it wasn't for the threat of attack on them by not only the volturi but from Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard) and the band of new born vampires she had created to kill Bella. One of my favourite bit about this film was learning more about the secondary characters of Rosalie (Nikki Reed) and Jasper (Jackson Rathbone).

Breaking Dawn part 1, saw the marriage between Edward and Bella and there honey moon to the Isle of Esme, and i will leave it at that. But was does happen is that Bella ends up being pregnant with a half breed, and the issues with what is growing inside her start to emerge especially with in the werewolf pack which leads to Jacob going rouge to protect Bella. It ends on a particularly gory note with the birth of their baby which isn't very pleasant to watch, some girl fainted in the cinema at this point, but it does lead to the birth of Renesmee and Bella becoming a vampire.

Break Dawn part 2, the end of the story, with Bella being a vampire the issues around what sort of life Renesmee will have as she grows at such a fast rate, and Jacob has imprinted (bonded) with Renesmee and Bella isn't to happy with that. The Volturi are coming to attack the Cullens (again) after being tipped of about an imortal child, which leads to a big battle (not going to spoil with details just in case).

I did like the end though with the bit with the last words from the book and then images of all the cast through out the series with their names (character and real name) which i thought was just a really nice way to say good bye to such a successful series.

The series also stars Peter Facinelli, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Elizabeth Reaser, Billy Burke, Mackenzie Foy, Maggie Grace, Micheal Sheen, Dakota Fanning, Xavier Samuel, Anna Kendrick. I can't forget the amazing author who wrote the books Stephenie Meyer.

The box set is released as well as Breaking Dawn part 2 on the 11th March for amazon. The box set on blue ray ins £35 and the individual DVD is £16.

and here is one of my favourite moments from the Breaking Dawn part 2

What are some of your favourite moments from the series?

Sound City

The nicest rock star in the world Dave Grohl, who lets face it is brilliant at whatever he does, has taken a turn at being behind the camera and has directed a documentary about the famous recording studio Sound City.

I have to say this now that i love Dave Grohl, pretty much loved anything he has done, so i new i would be bias towards anything he will ever do. Personally, i am not really into documentaries either but will watch them occasionally if they are about something i am interested in out is by a director that i like, so when i heard Dave mention the documentary on the Brits the other night i was straight on iTunes to see if it was available yet and just my look it was.

The documentary itself is not only about the recording studio itself but the artists that have used the studio and the stories that they have to offer. There are various different artists and technicians that Dave interviews about the history of the studio, and he takes the stories in chronological order from when the studio opened its doors. Artists from Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, Tom petty, Rick Springfield, Josh Homme, Butch Vigg, Corey Taylor to the crew that run the studio all get interviewed and share the experiences that they had at Sound City.

When Grohl found out that Sound City was closing he went down and bought the Neve 8028 mixing console and set about creating an album, collaborating with some of rocks greatest artists using the mixing board that Dave saved from Sound City, including Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks.

If your a music fan then you will love this and even if your not then i still recommend that you check out as it is really fascinating, I enjoyed how Dave told the story of sound city and sharing its rich history with us. Its Brilliant!!!

You can rent it or buy it on iTunes and its available on amazon for pre-order for £8

So go and check it out.

Fast and the Furious 6

I love this film series, well maybe except for Tokyo Drift (possibly one of the worst films ever) and i can not wait for the sixth to be released, so excited, and not just because they filmed some of this down the road from my house.

Anyway, the last time we saw our favourite street racers they were robbing the most powerful man in Brazil, nicking about $100 million and living happily ever after, well Brian (Paul Walker) and Mia (Jordana Brewster) were living on the beach and expecting a baby.

Agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) enlist the help of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) to help bring down a mercenary organization in return for full pardons for all of their crimes which have prevented them from returning to America. But there are some shock in store as the second in command to the leader of the mercenaries (Luke Evans) is Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) who everyone thought died in the fourth film (she also happened to be Dominic's girlfriend).

Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges, Sung Kang, Elsa Pataky and Gal Gadot are all back reprising their roles with Justin Lin behind the camera as director.

I am looking forward to seeing this film, its going to be good, well the action will be but maybe the story line won't be but who cares you don't watch these types of films for the story line anyway, but the trailer looks promising!

The film is due for release on the 24th May 2013.

Zero Dark Thirty Trailer

I am still unsure whether or not i want to see this film or not because its not really my type of film but the trailer looks really good and it intrigues me. Some people i have talked to say its to soon to do a film about Osama bin Laden and i am still unsure whether or not i agree with that but the film does look good and it is more about the 10 year hunt for him.

So the film follows the special forces unit assigned to hunt bin Laden over a 10 year period and has been billed "the story of history's greatest man hunt for the world's most dangerous man" and was directed but Oscar winning director Kathryn Bigelow.

The trailer for the film looks really good, following both the team on the ground and the team back in the states trying to work out how to find bin Laden. Its already been nominated for five Oscars and four Golden Globes so it must be good.

The film stars Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Joel Edgerton, Chris Pratt, Jennifer Ehle, Mark Strong, Kyle Chandler and Edgar Ramirez and reunites the Oscar winning director/writer partnership of Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal who both were involved with the Hurt Locker.

I am still 50/50 whether or not i want to see the film mainly because the action/thriller type films don't really appeal to me but the trailer looks really good and i might just make an exception for this film as it does look really good. Might also have to check out the Hurt Locker as well (still haven't gotten around to seeing it).

The film is released on the 11th January so go and check it out.

Jurassic Park 4

It has been rumored for a while that there was going to be a new film in the Jurassic Park series. But it has been confirmed and a release date has been given!!!

So excited!  I love these films, I have very fond memories from my child hood watching these films, well the first two, the third wasn't that good, but the first two were fantastic.

If you have never seen these films then you should as they are fantastic. The basic run down is that Jon Hammond and a bunch of scientists have decided to make dinosaurs on cloned from DNA found preserved in amber and thus decided to turn it into a theme park, but first to test it out they send in a group of people to test out the park, which then leads things to horribly wrong and for the dinosaurs to start eating people.

The second one is slightly different and set on a different island but the dinosaurs are still there and still eating people but with a few different characters, but they are the . Th third one is a bit different where a kid goes missing on Isla Sorna (the island with the dinosaurs in it) and a rescue mission is hatched to go and find the kid with Dr Alan Grant (Sam Neil) for the first film as he is the only one who has ever been there and things go horribly wrong again!! Seems to be a bit of a pattern, but its still good. If you don't like anything to horrible, its not to bad (except when the guy gets ripped apart by two T-Rex's).

Jeff Goldblum stars in both of the first two films with Sam Neil, Richard Attenborough, Samuel L Jackson, Laura Dern, Julianne Moore, Vince Vaughn all star in either of the two first films. The first film won 3 Oscars and the second was nominated for 1, but they were both worthy of numerous  due to the brilliant mind of Steven Spielberg, i love his films but Jurassic Park is one of my favourites and i can't wait for the fourth one its going to be amazing especially if Spielberg is behind the camera.

If you have never seen Jurassic Park you must!!!

You can but the trilogy on Amazon for £10.19 and the Blu-ray for £9

The film is projected to be released in June 2014 and starting to get excited about it.

Can't wait for the fourth one to come out.

The Mortal Instuments: City of Bones Trailer

I love this book!!!

I am so excited to see this film!! The books were amazing so i have really high hopes for the film.

If you haven't read the book(s) and i strongly recommend them and this is kind of an over view of the story anyway Clary (Lily Collins) and her friend Simon (Robert Sheehan) are out at a club one night they find them selves stumbling into a paranormal world full of shadow hunters, demons, werewolves, vampires, witches and some serious family issues. Everything gets even more complicated when Clary's mum disappears and she ends up mixed up in all sorts of trouble but when she meets Jace Wayland (Jamie Campbell Bower) things start looking up and Clary starts to discover things about herself that her mother has hidden from her and starts to explore the powers she finds and fulfill her destiny with the help of her friends.

I really hope that the film follows the same path as the book does because they are brilliant and the trailer looks amazing so i have very high hopes. Staring along side Lily Collins, Robert Sheehan and Jamie Campbell Bower are Kevin Zegers, Johnathan Rhys Myers, Jamima West, Aidan Turner and Lena Headey.
I really hope that director Harald Zwart manages to make the film incredible and try not to change the story to much because the world that Cassandra Clare has created is fantastic and can't wait to see it one the big screen.

The films isn't due out until the summer so there is plenty of time to read the book before the film which i highly recommend or even re read the book.

The film is due out on the 23rd August 2013.
