Favourite Film of the Summer

I know it has been ages since i last posted but if you follow me on twitter (@jodiewillis) you will know that i have just graduated from Liverpool John Moores University and have been a busy bee finding a job, which i did, i am now gainfully employed so now that i have some normality and structure back into my life i can focus a bit more in writing blog posts and aim to write on once a week!

I know it is not quite the end of the summer but i don't think that my favourite film of the summer is going to budge one bit and my favourite film of the summer and probably quite a few peoples favourite film off the summer is GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY!!!

If you haven't seen it yet, have you been living under a rock!! it was amazing and utterly blew my expectations out of the water. As a massive fan of pretty much all of the Marvel films (yes even Iron Man 2) i had no doubt that the special effects would be superb but my doubts were how the story was going to come across and i thought i would constantly be comparing it to the other Marvel films. But it was wrong not only were the special effects superb but the entire film from the cast to the story line to the 80's references.

Chris Pratt as Peter Quill /Star Lord is a fantastic male lead, along with Rocket (Bradley Cooper) , Groot (Vin Diesel), Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and Drax (Dave Bautista) come together to form the most unlikely team in order to save the universe from Ronan who is hell bent on recreating the world with his own beliefs. The dynamics between the 5 unlikely heroes is fantastic a great balance of characters that make the film all that much better.

I have heard rumors that Guardians of the Galaxy will ultimately crossover with the Avengers which i really hope they do because i would love to see Peter Quill have a conversation with Tony Stark.

If you haven't seen Guardians of the Galaxy it will most likely still be on at your local cinema if not i can't imagine that it will be long before it is out on DVD, but deffo worth the watch and you won't regret it.

What was you favourite film of this summer?
