Star Wars The Force Awakens Trailer

Words can not explain how excited i was to even just see the trailer for the new Star Wars!!

Lets be honest the prequels to probably one of the best trilogies ever made, were such a big disappointment that the new films already have a great expectations put on them to not suck as bad as those prequels did.

The story is supposed to be picking up 30 years after the Return of the Jedi and the defeat of the empire. The trailer showed glimpses of some of my favourite things about the old Star Wars films: X Wing Fighters, Storm Troopers and of course the Millennium Falcon  as well as showing brief glimpses at some of the new characters in action, not a lot but just enough to get the excitement building for the full trailer where we will hopefully see some glimpses of the old cast.

I have trust in JJ Abrams and Disney to make this film good with no contribution what so ever from George Lucas. Disney have a great track record with all the Marvel films and hopefully they can do the same with the Star Wars films.

We all know that Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher will all be reprising there roles along with Anthony Daniels (C3PO), Kenny Baker (R2 D2) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) the big question is how much involvement and screen time are they all going to get compared to the new cast, Are they going to be the leads or are they going to be more secondary characters whilst the new cast are out fighting the dark side and turning to the originals for help and guidance. I am still undecided on how much involvement i want the original cast to have in the film. At the moment i think they will have more involvement in the first film and the new cast will slowly start taking over as we move through the trilogy.

The new stars to the franchise include Oscar Issac, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Domnhall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong'o and Andy Serkis who narrates the trailer.

Is everyone else as excited as i am??

The film is set for release on the 18th December 2015
